Lia Galdeira scored 20 points, and Makani Wall added 19 as Konawaena rolled past Kealakehe 108-11 in the Big Island Interscholastic Federation season opener for both girls basketball teams Wednesday at Onizuka Gymnasium.
Wall and Taylor Awa, who scored nine points, both hit three 3-pointers for a Wildcats team that nailed eight shots from behind the arc and jumped out to a 38-2 lead after one quarter.
Four other Konawaena players scored in double figures: Hoku Liftee (13), Courtney Kaupu (12), Dawnyelle Awa (11) and Makayla Awa (10).
Taylor Mitchell and Anna DeSagun each scored four points for Kealakehe.
In the JV game, Konawaena defeated Kealakehe 29-17.
